' Montana Skies ' (Redemption's Rain)
By Ryan Christiano
There you are standing there
As if you never even cared
Empty words in a poem
Longing for home
Where the doubts in your eyes
Fade away in Montana skies
Where we leave behind the lies
Where mountains are so high
Where hopes and dreams never die
With star swept skies
Where the pain of deceit
Was my fatal conceit
Where the shadows fall
I hear the eternal call
Cleansing me of sin
Mourning what could have been
Where the doubts in your eyes
Fade away in Montana skies
Where we leave behind the lies
Where no one ever cries
Where hopes and dreams never die
In Montana skies
Lost in a love story
Now you're only sorry
How do you rediscover
What made us lovers
In a field of stars
That now seems so far
Longing for Montana skies
Where we leave behind the lies
And I can't see the doubts in your eyes
Can your hear the falcon's cries
Calling us home
Where wild horses roam
And the grass is always greener
Even though she was a deceiver
I still believe her
Loving her is my damnation
No chance of salvation
There's always redemption
In Montana skies
Where hopes and dreams never die
Where we leave behind all the lies
Where the doubts in your eyes
Fade away like the falcon's cries
In endless Montana skies
